Arizona Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology
strives to promote the philosophy of Relational
Psychoanalysis to psychologists, social
workers, counselors, and all people interested
in psychology through salons, classes,
seminars, and conferences.
The goal is to provide an opportunity for clinical
and theoretical dialogue, an exchange of
psychological perspectives, and a community of
support to each other and to patients.
Amy Schaffer, Ph.D., psychologist and
psychoanalyst from NYC will lead this Salon
to explore why therapists unconsciously hide
from realizing, knowing and working with a
client's Dark Side. A graduate of New York
University and Cornell University, Dr. Schaffer
has taught psychology in colleges, run
psychodrama programs, and has been
published in various psychoanalytic journals.
Cathy is honored to have 'I'm Fine'
featured in this Salon to provide another
method of awareness through art.
