April 8, 2012:   Today was one of those days
when it was just hard to get into the groove.

A large part of me loves doing detailed work.
However, during this 60/60 project, I've really
been enjoying attempts at creating looser
lines and strokes in these smaller pieces.

The beautiful nooks and crannies of Bell Rock
initially enticed me. After awhile, it began to
feel too "persnickety", so I abandoned this
rough sketch.  It's too early to say if I'll
ever go back to finish this. For me, it's
best to try and NOT critique things I've
done until some time has passed.

My apologies for the quality of the image. It
was too big for our scanner, and the lighter
outlines were tough to capture with a camera.
