March 6, 2012: Today marks the first day
of a 60/60 painting challenge for 27 artists,
including myself. We've committed to creating
and posting a 'painting a day' for sixty days.
My paintings will be small, relatively quick
'slice of life' studies in various sizes and media.
The premise is we will become better painters
as a result.

In honor of this process, which moves me
out of my comfort zone, I light a candle...
take a deep breath...and begin.
