Cathy Gazda, Artist - Home Page

April 21, 2012:   We have a blanket of
Mexican Evening Primrose (Oenothera
berlandieri) lining the walkway to our front
door (along with the California
poppies and penstemons).

Very prolific in the Southwest, as it's
accustomed to growing in dry, rocky soil
with little water. Not only does it come back
every year, it spreads easily.

Butterflies and bees love them (as do we)!
