October 19, 2012:   Two mourning dove
tail feathers, found on different days in the
backyard...each a treasured gift.

We have several doves that visit on a regular
basis...some in pairs, some individually.

At first glance, these gentle birds seem rather
non-descript, their colors quite plain; however,
when given the opportunity to see and feel the
feathers up close, the vibrant intricacies
are remarkable.

Whether looking at color schemes, patterns,
textures...there are no better designs than
what we find in Nature.

Nature is the best artist of all!
