April 27, 2012:   Our culture is so permeated
with the spectacular, extraordinary and over-
the-top extreme; that, sometimes, we forget
to give props to the marvel of common,
everyday things.

Just like most people who go through their
days, unnoticed for the myriad number of
actions, compromises and sacrifices made,
most landscape vistas are passed by without
much consideration.

Sedona is the 'Hollywood' of panoramic
scenery. In a tourist destination noted for its
dazzling red rock views, an ordinary vista like
this one takes a back seat to those star
attraction 'A-list' rock formations like Bell and
Cathedral Rocks, deemed worthy enough for
naming and highlighting on maps.

This place has no name.  Yet, every time I drive
into the Village, I pass this spot and my heart
is lifted by its simple beauty.
