April 28, 2012:   Today is a 'draw and dash'
kind of day...with lots of activity.

When I went to my small stash of items from
childhood to get 'Lassie' the other day, I came
across my Dale Evans' hat.  It's all that's left
of a Dale Evans' outfit I had as a kid,
complete with plastic fringe on the skirt.

I hated wearing the outfit (after all, I was
no fool...it was easy to see Roy Rogers had
all the fun, not Dale)...but I did like the
hat...and the holster with the metal cap gun.

I pulled out a B+W photo of myself with the hat
and holster, to sketch along with the hat.  As I
was adding some pen highlights to the sketch,
I realized I needed to spend more time with
this subject matter...so, I'll probably do a
painting as well (maybe tomorrow).
