March 16, 2012:  Tons of solid mass lifting off
the ground and moving through the air is a
miracle of physics and aerodynamics.

Equally delightful, is the journey
within the journey.

When on a plane, at low enough altitudes
where towns below are visible, I always
wonder who might live there and what their
life is like...are they looking up at the same
time I'm gazing at them?

Likewise, when on the ground, like today...I
truly enjoy watching commercial jets as they
trail across the sky. Wishing them safe travels
while pondering their ultimate destination; for
a brief moment, we're connected in a very
tangible way. This jet is on track for Los
Angeles...from there, who knows?
