     March 17, 2012:  It's mesmerizing when our
resident turkey vultures take to the sky and ride those thermals; every so often, exhibiting their characteristic 'wobble'. Soaring higher and higher, then circling around, gliding in perfect tandem--all done, seemingly, without flapping their wings. I could watch them for hours (and sometimes, do); ever grateful, for the gift of their grace, and the vital role they play in keeping our roads and waterways clear of carrion. |
