I was a tomboy as a kid (and, I still am a
      tomboy, at heart). I was always on some
      kind of adventure, climbing trees, building
      forts, collecting tadpoles, frogs and snakes;
      on equal footing with the neighborhood boys.
      Not everyone had a television in those days;
      and, if you did, the shows were all in black
      and white.  One of my heroes was Roy Rogers.
      Donned with the hat and holster from my
      Dale Evans outfit, I would 'saddle up' my
      tricycle (also known as 'Trigger') and head off
      'into the wild west' aspiring to be the
      'King of the Cowboys'.  If I encountered a
      challenging situation, I would quietly ask
      myself "What Would Roy Rogers Do?"
      The answer was usually clear; and, even
      when it wasn't, I could rest assured there'd
      be no regrets if I could only surmise what Roy
      would do in the situation.
      Modeling integrity, kindness and gratitude,
      Roy Rogers was a shining star of humanity
      for an entire generation of children (and,
      still is, for this kid).
